Since we launched IntelligentDocumentProcessing.com, also known as IDP Community, it has been a rewarding project to manage. Over the years, we’ve enjoyed tracking the Document AI space and providing a platform for the industry. To everyone who has visited the site, read our content, or engaged with us: Thank You. Your interest is what made this project great for us.
Our Roots and Industry Neutrality
The portal was “stealth-founded” by Alain Veuve, who is also the founder of Parashift AI. From the beginning, we have maintained a strict “Chinese Wall” between Alain and the editorial operations of the portal. We believe we have done a great job of upholding high-standard governance principles, ensuring the platform remained neutral in every way and data stayed where it belonged.
However, as our internal focus shifts toward new strategic priorities, we have decided to seek a new owner or a sustainable model to take the platform into its next chapter.
Exploring Three Paths Forward
Our primary goal is to ensure the portal’s continued growth under the right stewardship. We are currently evaluating three potential options:
- A Strategic Takeover: We find a single successor, such as an Industry Analyst, Tech Media House, or Consultancy Firm, to take over the domain and operations to anchor their research and market authority.
- An Industry Consortium: We invite vendors, analysts, consultants to collectively finance and develop the platform as an Association under Swiss Law, while the current team continues to manage (our super-lean) operations. This model would institutionalize the neutrality we’ve always practiced, transforming the portal into an even broader community-driven resource where IDP thought-leaders provide a dedicated space for the advancement of Intelligent Document Processing. We also believe there is potential for so much more than just a news portal (ever thought about an European IDP AI Conference?)
- A Scheduled Sunset: If we cannot identify a partner or a consortium model that aligns with the portal’s value, we have made the decision to move forward with a scheduled sunset of the project and take the portal offline.
