🗞️News:
ABBYY launches Vantage 3.0
Intelligent Document Processing vendor ABBYY has announced the release of Vantage 3.0, the latest generation of its Document AI platform that directly integrates with large language models (LLMs) to combine the reliability of classic AI with the flexibility of GenAI inside business workflows. Vantage 3.0 runs on a modernized tech stack, adds a richer library of pre‑configured AI models, and introduces a real-time analytics dashboard so organizations can better optimize document processes, cut processing costs, and get more value from existing GenAI investments. A key focus of this release is compliance and privacy: Vantage 3.0 embeds enterprise-grade redaction to automatically remove sensitive data before storage or export, strengthens role-based access control and audit trails, and is aligned with major standards such as SOC 2, ISO certifications, GDPR, CCPA, FIPS, and STIG. It also enhances business continuity and disaster recovery so mission-critical document processing can continue even during regional or infrastructure disruptions. On the automation side, ABBYY provides out-of-the-box AI skills for documents such as certificates of analysis, insurance claims, mortgage notes, invoices, tax forms, purchase orders, and a wide range of financial and healthcare forms. Max Vermeir, Vice President of AI Strategy at ABBYY, explained: “We know that context matters when it comes to data extraction. With ABBYY Vantage, you can control exactly how data is sent to the LLM and choose between sending the document image or the structured, precise text output from ABBYY’s highly acclaimed OCR. Furthermore, you can tract where data was extracted from within the document for auditability and transparency that’s essential for compliance. Vantage 3.0 underscores ABBYY’s commitment to delivering tangible results. Businesses can access and transform information from their enterprise documents with greater confidence, streamline compliance, and accelerate day-to-day operations through actionable intelligence and trusted automation.” For more information about ABBYY Vantage 3.0, see the article by Slavena Hristova, Director of Product Marketing, Document AI at ABBYY, here.
SER Group rebrands to Doxis
Intelligent Document Processing vendor SER Group has announced it has rebranded as Doxis, aligning the company name with its flagship Intelligent Content Automation platform and positioning itself as “The Document Intelligence Company.” With this, Doxis is emphasizing an AI‑first, unified platform that covers the full document lifecycle and replaces siloed tools with a single suite for content automation and document intelligence across the enterprise. This evolution builds on recent strategic investments and acquisitions in areas like customer communications management, SAP document automation, and Intelligent Document Processing, aimed at giving customers more holistic control over information flows. Dr. John Bates, CEO of Doxis, commented: “Over five million users work with the Doxis platform every day to get their work done more efficiently, compliantly and intelligently. In the past twelve months we welcomed three acquisitions to broaden the value and power of the platform for those customers. Now, united under the trusted Doxis brand and led by our popular mascot and AI assistant Doxi, we are excited to share our new brand and Document Intelligence vision with customers and partners.” To support its next phase, Doxis has strengthened its leadership team with three senior appointments: Yeelen Knegtering, former co-founder and CEO of Klippa (the IDP vendor acquired by SER/Doxis in March 2025). Andy Spence joins as Chief Revenue Officer addition and Jean Van Vuuren becomes Vice President of Sales EMEA.

Anniversaries in the broader IDP space: Crawford Technologies celebrates its 30th anniversary, Deep Analysis its 10th, and Base64.ai its 6th
Recent notable anniversaries in the broader Intelligent Document Processing space: Software solutions and services provider Crawford Technologies is celebrating its 30th anniversary. Founded in 1995, Crawford Technologies has grown into a highly respected global organization with an impressive list of 2,000 customers on six continents. Ernie Crawford, President/CEO and Founder of Crawford Technologies, commented: “Our success has always come from listening to our customers, anticipating their needs and developing technologies that make a measurable difference in how they do business. We are proud of the three decades we have spent leading changes in customer communications. The most exciting part is that we’re just getting started. We know the next chapter will be defined by even greater advancements in accessibility, automation and cloud-based technologies. Hence, these are areas where we continue to invest heavily to ensure our customers have the ability to connect with their customers in smarter, more meaningful ways.” Elsewhere, analyst firm Deep Analysis is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Alan Pelz-Sharpe, Founder at Deep Analysis, commented: “Our launch in 2017 was predicated on a single, clear conviction: the universe of unstructured data and information management was entering a period of radical, foundational disruption. We believed the traditional analyst model, often slow-moving and vendor-referential, was ill-equipped to navigate this shift. We founded Deep Analysis not to echo market sentiment, but to interrogate it; not to follow funding announcements, but to trace the underlying currents of technological feasibility and genuine enterprise need. This commitment to what we call the “unvarnished truth” has, at times, been a lonely and commercially challenging path.” Elsewhere, Intelligent Document Processing vendor Base64.ai is celebrating its 6th anniversary. Ozan E. Bilgen, Founder at Base64.ai, commented: “Companies need employees to process documents. Can AI do it better, at hyperscale? While experimenting with AI, we quickly noticed realizing this vision wouldn’t be easy (and it still isn’t). Documents are diverse, messy, ambiguous, and often unintelligible without proper language and domain expertise. Some were skeptical that such a “futuristic” product could work in practice. But I loved the challenge, not because it was easy, but because it was hard. I’ve dreamed of an AI taking over mundane office work, allowing humans to focus on more meaningful, better-paying jobs. Success would mean fundamentally changing how the world does business.” Congratulations to all three companies on these milestones!
