Skilja celebrates its 12th birthday and looks back on its achievements IDP vendor Skilja is celebrating its 12th birthday this year. Happy Birthday! Some of the highlights Skilja has achieved in these years include the development of a classification technology with statistical, semantic and Large Language Models (LLM) classifiers with more than 1,000 customers worldwide, as well as an extraction framework that allows a customer to do anything from forms, invoices to totally freeform contracts in the same environment with no technology disruption from one designer. Furthermore, Skilja has created its own AI-based recognition engine and a powerful process platform that is used by more than 250 companies worldwide, both on-premise and in the cloud, with some of them processing 500,000 documents per day. Alexander Goerke, Founder and CEO of Skilja, looks back at the company’s accomplishments over the last twelve years and explains what he believes has been key to achieving them as an SME in the document understanding space.

natif.ai partners with Ecobit Solutions to accelerate digital transformation and automation in logistics IDP vendor natif.ai has announced a partnership with Ecobit Solutions, a digital transformations specialist in the transportation and logistics industry. Through this collaboration, which includes an integration with DMS DocuWare, the two companies aim to redefine workflow efficiency with advanced AI capabilities in Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Handwritten Text Recognition (HTR), preprocessing, classification, and data extraction, and implement innovative use cases, particularly in logistics. Maximus Rösler, Partner at Ecobit Solutions, commented: “Through this partnership, we bring the full power of automation to every use case of our customers. natif.ai’s pre-trained use cases and document workflows are ready to use and revolutionize the way we work in the transportation and logistics industry.” Following last week’s partnership announcement with IT services provider REGLER SYSTEMS, the cooperation with Ecobit Solutions is the next partnership announcement from natif.ai within a matter of days.

Pegasystems introduces its Generative AI assistant Workflow automation platform provider Pegasystems has unveiled Pega GenAI Knowledge Buddy, its generative AI-powered assistant for the enterprise. With Knowledge Buddy, Pega combines an innovative AI architecture with security features, enabling organizations to transform the way users access knowledge while maintaining high standards of trust and accountability. The Gen AI assistant enables customers and employees to get specific answers synthesized by generative AI from content scattered across knowledge bases. Kerim Akgonul, Chief Product Officer at Pegasystems, further explained: “Organizations would like to use AI to improve experiences and increase efficiency, but many existing solutions aren’t meant for the intricate inner workings and complex needs of large organizations. And while many want to use generative AI to do the heavy lifting when seeking answers within massive content libraries, they also need security, transparency, and auditability to use the technology with confidence. Pega Knowledge Buddy will unlock new levels of productivity with enterprise-grade generative AI capabilities that seamlessly and securely integrate into these content libraries so both employees and customers can quickly get optimal answers and guidance with more accuracy, easily resolve service issues, and provide smoother experiences for all users.”

Indico Data recognized as an InsurTech to watch IDP vendor Indico Data has announced that it has been recognized as one of the “Top 100 Insurtechs to Watch in 2024” by ITC DIA Europe, a platform that connects insurtechs with industry leaders. Tom Wilde, Indico Data’s CEO, commented: “Being recognized by ITC DIA Europe is a testament to our dedication and expertise of our team. We are proud to be at the forefront of innovation in insurtech, and our inclusion in this list showcases our commitment to streamlining data intake processes within the insurance sector to enable insurers to make more accurate decisions faster to optimize loss ratios, improve customer satisfaction, and increase premium growth.”

Quantiphi’s IDP solution is now on Google Cloud Marketplace Digital engineering company Quantiphi has announced that Dociphi, its IDP solution, is now available on the Google Cloud Marketplace. This brings Dociphi’s patent-pending, proprietary document extraction models to Google Cloud customers, enabling them to optimize their document management processes.

Konfuzio enters into strategic partnership with Tumii Transformations IDP vendor Konfuzio has announced a strategic partnership with professional services firm Tumii Transformations. By combining Tumii’s know-how in SharePoint data migration with Konfuzio’s expertise in IDP, the two companies aim to further advance the digital enterprise landscape.

ABBYY appoints new Vice President of Sales for APAC Intelligent automation solutions provider ABBYY has announced the appointment of Jae Park as its new Vice President of Sales for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. Park brings 30 years of experience in leading high-performing sales teams. Jae Park commented: “Like the rest of the world, Asia experienced a period of volatility in 2023 with inflation and rising interest rates, resulting in mixed results for corporations. But in my view, the common theme prevalent in Asia’s vast and distinct marketplaces is the importance of producing hypergrowth and pragmatic results through technology initiatives – specifically in the areas of digital transformation and AI. I’m excited to lead a team of talented individuals who are empathetic to the challenges unique to each of our customers and the countries they serve.”

Eigen Technologies is now on Microsoft Azure Marketplace IDP vendor Eigen Technologies has announced that its IDP platform is now available on the Microsoft Azure Marketplace, giving Microsoft Azure customers a streamlined solution for automating their data extraction workflows. Brian Troesch, Eigen’s Chief Revenue Officer, said: “Eigen and the Azure Marketplace are a winning combination for Microsoft customers looking to enable enterprise grade IDP. Through our listing, Eigen’s intelligent automation platform is now available to more customers worldwide, which we’re very excited about.”

Kodak Alaris expands its partnership with Docit IDP provider Kodak Alaris has announced that it has expanded its partnership with information management company Docit. Graham Etherington, Northern Cluster Solutions Sales Director at Kodak Alaris, explained: “Docit is a trusted and valued partner, and we are excited about the new expanded partnership. Both companies are specialists in information management and have a shared vision to simplify businesses’ document workflows – in areas including accounts payable, accounts receivable, records management and forms processing – with intelligent automation solutions that accelerate digital transformation and innovation.”
