🗞️News:
IDP vendor Insiders Technologies is acquired by Proalpha
Intelligent Document Processing vendor Insiders Technologies has announced that it has been acquired by business application provider Proalpha. The closing of the transaction is still subject to customary regulatory approvals. According to Proalpha, the company will integrate Insiders Technologies’ product portfolio into its ERP and business applications, while continuing to make it available as a standalone offering for use with third-party systems. Werner Weiss, CEO of Insiders Technologies, commented: “The solutions from Proalpha and Insiders are a perfect match and, as integrated AI offerings, will deliver real added value to both existing and new customers. Complementary target industries also create a promising basis for successful cross-selling. Above all, however, the long-standing partnership has convinced us to now jointly exploit the full potential of the collaboration.” Eric Verniaut, CEO of Proalpha Group, explained: “With the acquisition of Insiders, we are now expanding this AI platform for our customers to include cognitive process automation in document-based workflows, which will fundamentally change decision-making processes and operational efficiency. With Agentic AI, further development towards a new generation of artificial intelligence will also play a central role.” And the analysis of Insiders’ acquisition by Petra Beck, Senior Analyst at Infosource: “Proalpha’s announced intent to acquire Insiders Technologies reflects two major trends reshaping the IDP landscape: the convergence of IDP with the automation of core enterprise processes—where ERP plays a central role—and the shift toward agentic automation.”

To do this, Affinda’s IDP platform applies persistent model memory (RAG) and agentic workflows, combining LLMs with proprietary algorithms, reading order logic, and robust OCR. Anthony England, Head of Growth at Affinda, explained: “Until now, enterprises that wanted to automate their document-heavy processes were forced to compromise on accuracy, time to value or flexibility. Now they can get all three. Affinda’s platform can accurately extract any information from any document, in any format, fast. It’s world class, and our customers are blown away by how quickly they can get set up and how powerful the platform is.
