What we cover in last week’s recap:

🗞️News:

SER Group acquires Metaforce

Intelligent content solutions provider SER Group has announced that it has acquired Metaforce, a provider of software solutions for customer communication management (CCM) and customer experience management (CXM). The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The transaction is still subject to customary regulatory approvals. With this acquisition, and following the recent acquisitions of AFI Solutions and Intelligent Document Processing vendor Klippa, SER is further strengthening its technology portfolio as it seeks to further enhance its Doxis Smart Content vision and platform capabilities. For SER’s customers and partners, this acquisition means enterprise-grade AI-powered document generation built directly into Doxis, efficient delivery of personalized, compliant and interactive digital experiences, as well as smarter processes across industries. Dr. John Bates, CEO of SER, commented: “With Metaforce joining SER, we’re heralding a new era of Smart Content and revolutionizing how document processes are automated and managed. By enhancing ECM with CCM, we’re closing the loop for our customers — helping them not only manage and understand their documents but also generate them intelligently and compliantly. This is a part of our mission to maximize our customers’ ROI: return on information.”

Instabase introduces Case Management

Intelligent Document Processing vendor Instabase has announced the introduction of case management to its AI Hub, a new feature designed to transform the way companies handle complex, multi-document business workflows. With Case Management, users can treat collections of documents as a single unit, apply advanced logic to cross-reference and validate data across files, and speed up the review process by allowing reviewers to view all documents within a packet simultaneously.

TWAIN Working Group announces “twAIn Robotics”

Image acquisition device provider TWAIN Working Group (TWG) has announced the creation of a new sub-working group called “twAIn Robotics.” The goal is to create a collaborative ecosystem of robotics hardware manufacturers, software developers, systems integrators, and end-user organizations to create an open, interoperable communication protocol that accelerates innovation in both robotics and AI. Kevin Neal, TWAIN Working Group Executive Director, explained: “twAIn Robotics represents the next logical evolution of our mission. For more than three decades, TWAIN has brought order, interoperability, and trust to the imaging industry-and now we’re applying that same discipline to robotics and artificial intelligence. The enthusiasm we saw at Converge confirmed what we’ve been hearing from manufacturers, developers, and integrators around the world: the industry is ready for an open, collaborative standard that accelerates innovation instead of fragmenting it. With twAIn Robotics, we’re building the framework that will allow robotics and Al to grow faster, integrate more easily, and deliver meaningful value across every sector.”
