Automat launches its Intelligent Document Processing platform

Intelligent Document Processing vendor Automat has announced the launch of its IDP platform, which enables operations teams in banking, insurance, healthcare, mortgages, and e-commerce to implement production-ready document automation within hours rather than months of custom setup. At its core is Document Studio, a no-code web interface for uploading samples, defining extraction fields, and training custom models that adapt to specific layouts and are then immediately accessible to deploy via API endpoints or trigger workflows directly from the dashboard. Lucas Ochoa, CEO at Automat, commented: “For so many organizations the keys to complete automation are locked behind unstructured data in their documents. At Automat, we’ve repeatedly observed that customers need to extract data from various documents before they can begin further RPA automation with us. We’ve built tools internally to quickly solve this for customers, and today we’re releasing this as an offering for everyone to use.”

Alkymi launches Alkymi Private Credit

Intelligent Document Processing vendor Alkymi has announced the launch of Alkymi Private Credit, a specialized AI solution to automate document-heavy workflows in the private credit market. The platform centralizes inbound documents via Data Inbox for automated extraction of structured data from loan agent notices, compliance certificates, and financial statements, delivering real-time views of cash flows, principal balances, interest rates, amortization schedules, payment events, covenant ratios, borrower financials, and key deal terms. Harald Collet, CEO of Alkymi, explained: “Private credit is scaling faster than the infrastructure that supports it. Alkymi Private Credit was built specifically to address this challenge, combining AI automation with enterprise-grade controls to give firms continuous visibility into their portfolios, including covenant tracking so they can modernize operations without compromising accuracy or regulatory requirements.”

Laiye launches Agentic Document Processing (ADP) SaaS V1.7

Intelligent Document Processing provider Laiye has announced the launch of ADP SaaS v1.7, a major update to its Agentic Document Processing platform. The update introduces an out-of-the-box processing module for high-frequency international documents like invoices, receipts, and purchase orders, where users simply upload files to get instant structured results. With that, enterprises can now deploy document automation faster, with less effort, and greater certainty, scaling efficiency across business workflows.

TWAIN Working Group announces development of open source twAIn Robotics Standard API

Image acquisition device provider TWAIN Working Group has announced the development of an open source twAIn Robotics Standard API focused on collecting and standardizing billing and usage metrics for robots and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs). The initial scope of the API will support the collection of standardized usage data, including metrics such as Cost-Per-Task, Cost-Per-Traveled-Time, Cost-Per-Linear-Feet, and Cost for Power Consumed. These metrics are designed to reflect how robots are actually used in real-world operations, where value is typically tied directly to revenue-generating or productivity-enhancing tasks.

📊Study:

97% of enterprises say ECM vendor roadmaps limit AI implementation

SaaS platform Vertesia has published a survey of 1,500 senior IT executives in the US, which shows that the roadmaps of enterprise content management (ECM) providers have become a significant barrier to companies’ AI ambitions. 96.8% said their vendors’ plans limit their ability to implement the AI use cases they want. Implementation is lagging significantly behind investment: although 40.2% of companies plan to increase their AI budgets, 71.9% say their ability to implement specific AI strategies is “significantly” or “moderately” constrained by the speed and direction of their vendors’ innovations, suggesting that many are reaching a practical inflection point in their AI roadmaps. Executives also see significant gaps between what AI should be able to do with content and what their current stacks are capable of: nearly one in five cite limitations in searching documents for risks, trends, or correlations (19.8%), summarizing long or complex documents on a large scale (19.7%), in identifying compliance and regulatory risks (18.8%), in detecting duplicate or near-duplicate content (18.8%), and in detecting security issues such as PII (17.8%). In response, 34% of the market is willing to bear the cost and complexity of building internal AI capabilities, while 32.3% are working with external providers to deploy AI via platform models that work across multiple ECM systems to avoid vendor lock-in.
