Infrrd presents research on document analysis advances with three papers at IEEE CCWC 2025 and wins ‘Best Presenter Award’

Intelligent Document Processing vendor Infrrd has announced that its research team consisting of Pratyusha Rasamsetty, Srirama Nakshathri, Saiteja Tallam, Deepak Kumar, Navaneeth Amarnath, and JiangLong He presented their findings on advances in document analysis in three papers at the IEEE CCWC 2025, which took place in Las Vegas at the beginning of this year. The IEEE Computing and Communication Workshop and Conference (CCWC) is organized by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and serves as a platform for showcasing the latest innovations in computing and communication. IDP vendor Infrrd presented the following three papers: 1. Automating Scale Extraction From Engineering Drawings – A Multi-Step Vision and Text Approach: The research team combined advanced vision algorithms with text-to-formula conversion techniques to develop a solution that allows for precise estimation of real-world dimensions from technical drawings. 2. Multi-Stage Retriever Model for Document Classification Using Fine-Tuned Embeddings: The Infrrd research team improved the accuracy and relevance of classification, even for datasets with a large number of document classes, by fine-tuning open-source LLM embeddings. 3. Can RAG Calibrate LLMs for Information Extraction Tasks? By leveraging RAG, Infrrd’s research team has developed a method to calibrate LLM predictions that improves their confidence scores and ensures more reliable and consistent named entity extraction. With this innovative research, Infrrd won the ‘Best Presenter Award’ at IEEE CCWC 2025. Congrats team!
