ABBYY announces the issuance of 22 new patents

Intelligent Document Processing vendor ABBYY has expanded its global patent portfolio to more than 400 patents and applications by securing 22 new patents over the past two years, underscoring its focus on purpose-built AI for document process automation. Several patents advance core document processing, such as “Extracting Multiple Documents from a Single Image” and “Detecting Fields in Document Images”, to streamline complex workflows and improve data accuracy. Others patents, such as “Identification of Key-Value Associations in Documents Using Neural Networks”, and “Continuous Learning for Document Processing and Analysis”, enhance AI precision. ABBYY has also patented user experience innovations with “Display Panel or Portion Thereof with a Graphical User Interface”. Ulf Persson, CEO of ABBYY, explained: “ABBYY’s latest patents are a testament to our ability to drive the next level of innovation. Tungsten Automation launches InvoiceAgility 2026.1

Intelligent Document Processing vendor Tungsten Automation has introduced InvoiceAgility 2026.1 with new capabilities that bring intelligent invoice automation to the next level. InvoiceAgility 2026.1 delivers a major upgrade in AI‑powered, touchless invoice processing for AP and AR teams. It enhances customer experience with unified e‑invoicing via APIs and modern, mobile‑friendly Fiori apps for invoice creation. On the automation side, the release integrates Microsoft Document Intelligence and introduces buyer‑level extraction settings to boost first‑pass accuracy and flexibility. Compliance is strengthened through full support for Belgium’s B2B Peppol mandate, Poland’s KSeF clearance, and expanded capabilities across countries including Italy, Denmark, China, Bulgaria, Croatia, Germany, Malaysia, Mexico, India, and others, helping organizations stay ahead of evolving tax and e‑invoicing regulations.

Alkymi joins forces with FINBOURNE Technology

Intelligent Document Processing vendor Alkymi has announced a partnership with FINBOURNE Technology, a provider of cloud-native data infrastructure. Thanks to this partnership, Alkymi will combine its document intelligence with FINBOURNE’s unified data platform to deliver an integrated credit risk monitoring solution for the private credit industry. Harald Collet, CEO of Alkymi, explained: “Private credit is increasingly complex and document-intensive, placing significant pressure on operational and risk oversight functions. By partnering with FINBOURNE, we are combining best-in-class data management with AI-driven automation to give investment managers faster, more reliable insight into their portfolios while strengthening governance and control.”
