IDP provider Straive appoints Ankor Rai as new CEO

Ankor Rai has more than 20 years of experience leading technology companies, including helping to grow EXL’s analytics business from a niche analytics solution to a comprehensive analytics company. At Straive, he will help clients leverage new opportunities around data, analytics, AI and digital technologies to take the company to new heights.

Straive, a provider of technology-driven data/AI solutions including Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), announced May 3 that it has appointed Ankor Rai as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He joins from IT services and consulting firm EXL, where he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Digital Officer.

Ankor Rai succeeds Ratan Datta, who led the company for more than a decade. Datta will assume the role of Vice Chairman to support the transition to Rai and continue to serve as a member of Straive’s Board of Directors.

Ankor Rai, Straive’s new CEO, commented: “I am very excited about the market opportunity for Straive. Today, we help our clients create new data, insights, and knowledge and integrate that into complex digital workflows for learning & education, scientific research, and other business operations. As our clients address new opportunities around data, analytics, AI, and digital technologies, Straive’s capabilities are critical to executing such complex transformations seamlessly.”

Last year, Straive was named an Aspirant by Everest Group in its 2022 IDP PEAK Matrix® Assessment, and HFS considered Straive as one of 42 IDP vendors in its Market Scan.

Headquartered in Singapore, Straive provides data services, subject matter expertise (SME), and technology solutions to multiple domains, such as research content, e-Learning/EdTech, and data/information providers.
