Tungsten Automation unveils TotalAgility 8 with Gen AI suite

With the latest version of its flagship platform, Tungsten Automation introduces a new approach to how humans interact with automation software. Tungsten Automation does this through a suite of Generative AI (Gen AI)-powered Copilots that help companies simplify the creation of workflows and solutions.

Tungsten Automation, an intelligent automation solutions provider including Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), announced February 27 the release of TotalAgility 8, the latest version of its flagship platform. TotalAgility 8 features Generative AI-powered Copilots, a repository of out-of-the-box extraction models, and enhancements for citizen developers.

At the heart of the latest TotalAgility release is the suite of three Generative AI-powered Copilots that provide an intuitive, natural language interface that simplifies the creation of workflows and solutions: Copilot for Development (transforms ideas into working processes, case definitions, forms, business rules, and data models), Copilot for Extraction (reduces the time and effort required to create and manage document extraction models), and Copilot for Insights (generates real time and actionable insights from proprietary business and case data).

In addition, TotalAgility 8 introduces Document Libraries, a repository of out-of-the-box extraction models for a variety of use cases across industries, so customers no longer need to build them from scratch. TotalAgility 8 also brings enhanced capabilities that promote collaboration between developers and democratize solution design.

Adam Field, Senior Vice President of Product Management at Tungsten Automation, explained: “The introduction of Generative AI into TotalAgility marks a significant leap in making businesses more agile and able to realize significantly faster returns on investment. We’ve completely reimaged how our customers interact with technology as we shift from low-code to natural language interfaces. The core of this innovation is boosting workforce productivity and unprecedented insights into unstructured data, while upholding the highest standards of AI use so our customers can trust in the technology we provide.”

Just over a month ago, Kofax announced its rebrand as Tungsten Automation. The company explained that the rebrand reflects its evolution from a pioneer in document capture to a global provider of intelligent, AI-powered workflow automation solutions.

Tungsten Automation (formerly Kofax), headquartered in Irvine, California, provides intelligent automation software platforms and solutions, including Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), that transform information-intensive business processes and help organizations increase efficiency and reduce costs through workflow automation.
