ABBYY automates Carlsberg’s order and delivery processes

With the integration of ABBYY’s Intelligent Document Processing solution, the Carlsberg Group is automating its order and delivery processes, accelerating its digital transformation strategy, increasing workflow efficiency and improving team productivity.

ABBYY, a leading provider of intelligent process automation solutions, announced September 20 that Carlsberg Group, one of the world’s leading brewery groups, has selected the company to automate its order and delivery processes using ABBYY’s IDP solution.

Previously, the Carlsberg Group relied on tedious manual labor in these processes. Orders received by e-mail had to be checked and manually entered into the system. The same applied to delivery information: The delivered goods were matched against the delivery note and the file was then manually entered into SAP, whereupon the goods receipt document was created and booked.

With ABBYY’s IDP solution, the Carlsberg Group digitizes both of these processes. On the one hand, orders received by mail can be automatically captured and then immediately transferred to the SAP system. On the other hand, the registration process around the scanning of delivery notes is now automated. This speeds up the entire process of receiving and putting away goods and reusing vendor labels, and gives Carlsberg a better overview of the delivery process.

Neil Murphy, Global Channel Chief at ABBYY, said: “We are very pleased to be able to make such a significant impact at Carlsberg. A growing number of global organization like Carlsberg are relying on ABBYY to streamline and accelerate revenue-generating and customer-impacting processes. All too often, manual processes and endless paperwork get in the way of time to value and customer satisfaction. Using ABBYY IDP solutions means staff can focus on other more business-critical tasks and leave the tedious paperwork to their ‘digital’ colleagues.”
