Hyperscience successfully completes its SOC 2 evaluation

SOC 2 certification validates Hyperscience’s best practices in the areas of security, availability, integrity, and confidentiality of data processing and demonstrates Hyperscience’s ability to manage and secure data while ensuring data privacy and risk mitigation for its customers.

Hyperscience, an Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) vendor, announced August 17 that it has received SOC 2 certification for its enterprise AI software infrastructure platform. The third-party audit was conducted by cybersecurity assessment services provider Schellman.

Tony Lee, Chief Technology Officer of Hyperscience, said: “Protection of our clients’ information is of the utmost importance to us. Not only do we follow certified best practices to the letter, but we also ensure data at rest and in transit is protected through industry-standard encryption, as well as identity and access management to better assess current and future risk to our infrastructure.”

SOC 2 is a compliance standard for service organizations developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) that specifies how organizations should manage customer data. Therefore, SOC 2 certification has become an important benchmark and prerequisite in the software procurement process.

Andrew Joiner, CEO of Hyperscience, explained: “Introducing cutting-edge AI solutions within the enterprise holds great promise and benefit – but like all new transformative technologies – it carries a significant amount of data, security and corporate risk. Our commitment to achieving SOC 2 certification sets a solid, trusted foundation for enterprises, alleviating unique concerns associated with AI, such as handling of sensitive enterprise training data.” He continued: “Hyperscience’s SOC 2 certification provides enterprises with peace of mind, and supports an environment where our innovative AI infrastructure harmoniously coexists with the other most sensitive aspects of their operations. Embedding transparency and ethics into our software from Day 1 continues to set us apart from other AI software vendors.”

Headquartered in New York, Hyperscience offers a Machine Learning-powered Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) platform that combines artificial intelligence with a human-centered approach to elevate business processes and unlock actionable knowledge.
